I present to you the results of a technique I’ve wanted to try for a while. It’s inspired by the work of Woody Walters, a photographer and artist that creates some really amazing works of art.
This illustration started as a photograph of my son from one of his lacrosse games last year. (Mount Vista High School Boys Lacrosse) I manipulated the photograph and then “digitally painted” it using Adobe Photoshop. My objective was to incorporate Mountain Vista’s colors (green and gold) into an illustration that conveys lots of energy and motion in a contemporary and unique way.
I’m really happy with the end result and already thinking of other photos I would like to do a similar treatment to. And for this one, I’m trying to decide which wall a big 24 x 30 gallery wrap of this is going to look best on. Oh, and I got a big thumbs up on it from my son!
